Create a list of all users that may visit your site (not from the WWW but those you’d invite).
◦ Fashion marketers
◦ Designers with established brands and product lines
◦ Clothing design firms
◦ Retailers with in-house brands
◦ Tailors
What will each of those users want to see in order to enjoy their visit to your site?
◦ Quality of my craftsmanship
◦ Eye for design
◦ Industry knowledge - fashion & clothing design
◦ Career focus & growth viewpoint
◦ Viewpoint of industry - where i see it going
◦ Viewpoint of trends and cultural implementations
◦ Viewpoint of craftsmanship
◦ Style of craftsmanship
◦ Style of work as whole
Name your intended audience (the person(s) you need to persuade.)
◦ Suit makers
◦ Bespoke oriented shop owners
◦ High-end retailers (in house brands)
◦ High-end tailors
◦ High-end designers (men’s fashion focus)
Describe what you need to inform and persuade them of:
Promote my:
Ability and Craftsmanship. Interest for the industry. Design sense and market knowledge.
Goals of the site are:
Display the detail and depth of work, enhance my market reach, make myself and my skills assessable, obtain interest in work as well as industry employment.
My ultimate message/philosophy (about who you are):
I'm classy, and adore the classics of fashion. Suits are timeless and I have such a passion to be apart of carrying on that timeless legacy of style, class and status.
What is the story you are telling?
A story of class and status, how I feel I would have been greatly suited for the 20s lifestyle of fashion. I want to exemplify the reasons the suit is such a timeless piece of fashion, penetrating both the lines of time and culture borders. Simplicity and the focus of craftsmanship and detail.
Write a 200 word concept statement based on the user, your persuasion, navigation and the assets.
Users should not be amazed by my site, just the work, simplicity and detail are my main focal points. I hope to exemplify my viewpoint and individual stylistic presence in the fashion industry. I also want to make sure that my focus is on men's suits, while my work may dwell into other areas of the fashion industry. My main design focus is meant to convey class and the timeless style embedded within suits. The suit has for the most part not changed much at all, but rather been slightly altered by time and trends. Unlike the broadness in design of female fashion, the suit is basic, and keys upon the detail and craft. My navigation will be direct and easy to use, I do not want the user to feel overwhelmed by the function of my site, thus taking away focus of my work and the craft I am so involved in. My main hope is to showcase the detail of my work and my love for the craft. I want to display my craft mostly, as that is the biggest focus of the art I work towards. Detailed pictures and my overall stylistic presence are the next areas of focus.
List the assets you need to persuade the user: Which 7 (minimum) projects? scans of what?, photos of what objects? images from what computer graphics program? what descriptive text? list them.
i will use my boards and pictures of garments that i have produced in order to better exemplify my designs as well as the effort i put into each garment.

Bad Design>>>
Design features:
Text: the text in this site is boring and plain which i believe produces a low interest in the site itself.
Navigation: the navigation is mediocre at first, as you progress further through the links it just gets bad.
Links: the links do show up in a different color when you click on them.
Graphics: graphics are small and there are barely any on the site.
General Design: the overall design is boring, vacant, and lacks any ascetic appeal whatsoever.
